Danbury Real Estate Blog

There has beern a quite a deal of recent business activity in Danbury over the last couple of months.
Changes include

-The Windmill Diner has been sold, as the original owners have retired. The new owners have re-branded the business the Mill Plain Diner. The food and service quality has remained the same. They are found at 14 Mill Plain Road in Danbury, 203-743-6541.

-Sadly, Bluu restaurant and lounge on at the corner of Nabby Road and Federal Road has closed. I went there several times a year for different things, and am kind of sad it's closed up. In addition, the Sports Authority, Bertuccis and Mima's Meatballs have closed.

-Chiptole has opened a new restaurant in Danbury in the Trader Joe's shopping center. I have been there several times, and it is more convenient to me than their location in the Danbury mall. 115 Mill Plain Road, 203-730-2220

-99 Restaurants has taken over the space occupied previously by Teddy's at the corner of Newtown Road and Eagle Road in eastern Danbury. The cue has opened up at the site of the First & Last Pizza in Danbury, at the corner of Padanaram Road and Pembroke Road.  About one year ago, Colonial Subaru moved to a larger location, the former Robert Buick dealer right at exit 8 at Newtown Road.

-Prespa on Mill Plain Road closed, and now reopended as Dolce. Della francesca moved to where Social 46 was, which was the old Spasi. Social 46 moved down to Lake Avenue where Della Francesca was, which is just passed the entrance to the west-side campus of WCSU if you are heading toward the center of town.

-A small apartment complex opened up on lower South Street, almost across from Summit View condos. The Kennedy Flats apartments opened for new residents in the city center. For the kids, bounce trampoline opened up on Prindle Lane, 203-942-2449
