Offering both ranch and townhouse style units, Birchwood has well maintained homes offering great space. Birchwood is one of the largest communities in Danbury comprised of 221 residences. Birchwood condos is located in a residential area in Danbury,CT, off of Shelter Rock Road. It is minutes to Newtown Road and the historically charming Bethel,CT village. Commuters can get pick up I-84 in Western Danbury at the Wooster Heights exit of Route 7 ,approximately 10 minutes away if one chooses not to elect for the exit 8 option nearby by backtracking over Newtown Road. There are also back road options to access lower Fairfield County, Connecticut or to connect to I-84 over near the Danbury Mall/Wooster Heights area. Recreation facilities, schools, shopping and dining are within close proximity, including Target ,Walmart ,Barberie's Black Angus Steakhouse, Sierra Trading Post and Huntington Park. On site amenities at Birchwood for resident's use only include tennis courts, playground and two pools. It is approved for a FHA mortgage which allows for purchasers to go as low as 3.5% down payment-approval is til August 2026. The complex also just repaved their roads, parking lot and sidewalks.
There are 2 different floor plans offered at Birchwood.The single story ranch style homes offer 1100 square feet and the townhome style units offer 1332 square foot. Standard features include central air conditioning, a wood burning fireplace, basements and in unit laundry. The units and layout of the neighborhood were set up to take advantage of the long range views available for this hilltop location. Both styles of homes feature two large bedrooms and one and half baths. The condos also have great storage in the unit with generous closet space. Typical of the era of the construction in the area, the residences are heated with electric pump system & central air. There is plenty of guest and resident parking available. Only residents that live on site are allowed to have a clicker for the rear gate in the complex per HOA rules.
The complex has been very well maintained over time. The grounds are beautiful. There is ample visitor and resident parking, probably the most among all communities in the area.. In addition, on site recreational amenities include playground, pool and tennis . Two pets are permitted, however only 1 dog is allowed per household and must be under 20 inches per regulations .
